A clockmaker had his grandson in his workshop with one day. The grandfather taught his grandson how to count by listening and counting the gongs of the clocks.
One day the grandfather thought that he would play a joke on his grandson, so he fixed one of the clocks to gong 13 times at noon.
At one minute til noon the grandfather asked his grandson, “Aight Son, what time is it?”
With a smile on his face the grandfather ask, “Well Son, what time is it?”
The grandson looked up at his grandfather and said, “Grand Dad I don’t know what time it is but it is latter then it has every been before.”
This is how the Church feels about the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus. We know He is not slack but we know that the World doesn’t have that much more time, because it is latter than it has every been before.
